Katie Sampson has a cancerous lump in her breast, along with a loving husband (Gil Bellows), a difficult father-in-law (Paul Soles) who survived Auschwitz and makes sure no one forgets it, a rebellious daughter (Katie Boland), a teenage son who worships pot and older women, and a seven year-old who's obsessed with God and death. Immediately following a core biopsy, Katie runs into “Post-Op!”, an ailing reality TV show which broadcasts live from the hospital. After cracking joke after joke, the wisecracking – and riveting -- Katie electrifies the show’s small audience and she’s named to replace the host. Born for television, she quickly becomes reality TV’s most-watched heroine. I watch the Sundance Channel and IFC but I somehow managed to miss this series.
