"Taxi to the Dark Side incorporates rare and never-before-seen images from inside the Bagram Air Force Base in Afghanistan and Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay prisons into its exposure of the Bush administration’s “global war on terror.” This stunningly crafted narrative demonstrates how this one man’s life and death symbolizes the erosion of our civil rights and how what it means to be an American has changed forever.
The film also won the Best Documentary Award at the 2007 Chicago International Film Festival and the 2008 Ojai Film Festival. Gibney won the Documentary Screenplay Award from the Writers Guild of America and was nominated for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Documentary from the Directors Guild of America in 2008."

This is another prime example of very important films that unfairly goes under the radar. I know that the subject matter is a little too tough to take, but people should see these types of films, because just the grittiness and the reality, and the fact that it could actually happen to you, or to someone else. They also deal with some of the common struggles of the civil rights.
