Being a man of science, I'm interested in the debate. Never heard of this "end date".

Mythology be it of a religious or secular bent has been the bane of humanity since humans first started asking questions for which there were only suppositions not facts. That the mentioned date has no real significence in scientific study is obvious and represents only one more point in time for the ignorant and the stupid to persue their unrelenting persuit of validation for those beliefs which they see as truth and which they hope to impose on humanity.
