HOW TO FIND THE BEST ELECTRIC SHAVER
Aside from reading through our awesome reviews (pats self on back, kidding) choosing the best electric shaver may seem like an easy task But. It. Isn’t.
There are way too many products to choose from and too many people having very different needs.
You can find a shaver that everyone is ranting and raving about—sending hash tags #bestshaverever #facefeelsgreat until you go and try it and getting nothing but #ouch #notmeantforme. Get where I’m going with this?
If you’re not familiar with twitter (I’m still learning but losing interest) hash tags are something you type when you want something to trend and link back to your profile for followers—I think, I’m twitter challenged.
Holy crap, I veered way too far off topic here, I’m sorry, dudes.
You have people with sensitive skin and those who can pretty much shave using glass and not flinch—complete exaggeration so please don’t try that method to prove how tough you are—we know you’re tough.
ELECTRIC SHAVER OR MANUAL RAZOR?
Everyone who’s ever used both a manual razor and a electric shaver will tell you hands down that the manual is the best in terms of the closest shave possible; however, you expose yourself to razor burns, bumps, redness, and nicks/cuts than you would with an electric shaver—manual shaver bites butt big time for men with sensitive skin.
Furthermore, manual shavers require the use of shaving gels, foams and water unless you want to feel a burn all day long. Electric shavers can be used without all those messy gels.
I HAVE SENSITIVE SKIN, SOOO…?
If you have sensitive skin I would choose an electric shaver and one that offers you personalized settings, I know Braun 7 790cc off hand has a three stage personalized setting and many others. This way you can choose the intensity you feel most comfortable with. I do believe it ranges from mild, normal, and intense. Start with mild and work your way up to what’s best for you.
Let’s talk price
Electric shavers are pretty expensive I will not deny this, but disposable razors aren’t cheap either and have to be replaced far more times than replacement cutters for an electric shaver. So the amount you pay up front will most likely equal to or be lesser than what you would spend weekly on disposables.
